Switching

Moving to Segurium from the plugin you have now

Segurium reads the settings your current security plugin left in the database and offers to bring them across. Coverage is not equal, so each guide below says exactly what its importer reads and what it does not. The preview writes nothing, so you can look before you decide.

Install the free plugin from WordPress.org

Free covers 3 cleanups every 30 days. No card, no trial clock.

Pick the plugin you are leaving

Each page also names what it will not bring across, and what that costs you to set up again.

Two things every one of these guides has in common

Coming from Sucuri?

There is no import, and there is no page here pretending otherwise. Sucuri's firewall rules, country blocking and scan configuration live in Sucuri's own dashboard rather than in your site's database, so there is nothing on your server to read. Segurium detects the plugin and tells you exactly that instead of showing you an empty list.

Switching from Sucuri means setting up again by hand: your IP rules, your country list, your scan exclusions. It takes about ten minutes and the settings are all free here. What that switch actually trades away is a bigger question than a settings import, because the Sucuri paid plans put a firewall in front of your site rather than inside it. The Sucuri comparison sets out both sides of that.

Running something else?

The importer covers four source plugins and three of them have a guide above. If yours is not one of them, the switch is a manual one and it is not a long job: install Segurium, accept the service disclosure, set your IP rules and country list, run a scan. Nothing about Segurium depends on what you ran before.

Before you switch, read what the two products actually do differently. The comparison set covers the plugins most people are moving between, with prices and with the gaps named in full.

Look before you switch

Install the free plugin and open the Migration tab. The preview counts what your own site has to offer and writes nothing until you say so.
